Westlake Real Estate

Westlake Texas home for sale

High Cost of Admission Worth the Price

The seven square miles of rolling terrain that make up the Town of Westlake sit conveniently off highway 114 just minutes northwest of D/FW Airport and just east of Fort Worth's Alliance airport. Westlake's 1500 or so residents enjoy a rural atmosphere a stones throw away from upscale shopping and big city amenities plus the title of the country's "Most Affluent Town" from Forbes Magazine. The cost of admission? Usually well over $1,000,000.

Westlake is home to just over 1500 residents, but the population swells 5 days a week as it's also home to employers including Fidelity Investments, Chrysler Financial Corporation, Pfizer and McKesson. The Town of Westlake supports its own state chartered school. Westlake Academy. Opened in 2003, the school graduated it's first class in 2010. All grades use the International Baccalaureate curriculum.

Home buyers considering the Town of Westlake have choices ranging from new construction homes in the golf course community of Vaquero to Stagecoach Hills, where the sight of airplanes sitting on the grass runway seems as typical as the sight of cars in the driveway.
