Glenmere - Could be Confused as Trophy Club
Because the Glenmere neighborhood sits in the shadow of Byron Nelson High school, many area home buyers assume Glenmere is part of neighboring Trophy Club. After all, the main entrance into the seven acre gated community sits on Bobcat Boulevard, a "back door" you could say, into Trophy Club off Highway 377 just north of 114.
The community also shares the heritage golf course naming protocal of many Trophy Club neighborhoods. Yet Glenmere is solidly in the city of Roanoke.
The intimate neighborhood offers just 30 homesites built by Megatel Homes. Floor plans range from about 1900 sq.ft. to just under 3400 sq.ft. with both single story and two story offerings. Vaulted ceilings offset by open beams, eight foot interior doors and extensive trim add to each Glemere home's interior architectural appeal while exterior design elements include cedarwood cottage style garage doors and stone accent details mixed with extensive brick designs. -Cindy
The Floor Plans Available in Glenmere
Megatel Homes built 10 unique floor plans in Glenmere. There was lots of flexibility offered with each home in terms of adding additional living space or changes to accommodate most any lifestyle. The ability to include a game room, media room, study or even a third bay garage was possible for many of the Glenmere plans.
Megatel Homes no Stranger to DFW Area New Construction
In the planning stages since 2013, DFW developer Centurion American delivered new construction lots on the south side of Roanoke's Bobcat Boulevard to builder Megatel Homes and new homes starting coming out of the ground in mid 2015. Megatel is no stranger to the DFW area having built in well over 60 neighborhoods across the Metroplex.
High Style, Energy Efficiency and Low Taxes a Winning Combination
Megatel has grabbed hold of the trend toward vaulted ceilings offset by unique architectural details, light and bright finishes and a generally more open feel and run with it. Exterior design elements include cedar wood cottage style garage doors and stone accent details mixed with extensive brick designs. Lifestyle amenities include covered patios for those who enjoy the outdoors. Gourmet kitchens with top-of-the-line appliances and gas cooktops will definitely appeal to those who host friends and family regularly.
Home buyers in Roanoke's Glenmere are offered several available modifications ranging from media room, study and game room additions to extra bedrooms and full baths. 3 car garages are found in some of the neighborhood's selections and can be added to others.
In addition to on-trend styling, Megatel has invested in energy efficiency for the Glenmere lineup of new homes. The money saving benefits of tankless water heaters, 16 SEER air conditioners and Energy Star appliances are enhanced by radiant barriers and quality low-e windows.
One major neighborhood advantage is a tax rate around 20% lower than neighboring Trophy Club, and there are no MUD district fees. At a tax rate of just 2.1 per $100 value, this Roanoke addition sits at the lower end of the Metroplex tax rates. That's due to a combination of low Roanoke City and Denton County taxes.
