Canyon Falls, a Scenic Master-Planned Community
Located between I-35 W and US 377 north of FM 1171, The Canyon Falls Master-Planned community is situated on some of the most attractive land in the area. Rolling hills, creeks and native grasses are preserved and create the landscape that helps define the neighborhood's atmosphere.
While other additions in the area speak to a country style Harvest or a Town Square type atmosphere, the natural backdrop of Canyon Falls includes wildflowers, creeks and ponds, and native trees. It's a setting that speaks to the conservation of nature and a fresh-air lifestyle. Canyon Falls offers home buyers 250 acres of open space and parks and is surrounded by more open space along its borders.
You can't miss the grand entrance into the community off of FM 1171. Long, winding stone walls flank the four-lane tree-lined entrance. Curving streets weave through the native trees and sustainable grass landscaping, hinting at the relaxing atmosphere offered in the neighborhood. A second entrance, to the north off of US 377, passes the Flower Mound Fire Station and Denton County precinct building. There is also a 10 acre Flower Mound city park nearby.
Neighborhood home owners often use the Canyon Falls Clubhouse as a starting point for an evening walk along the trails. The Clubhouse offers a resort style pool with beach entry, lap lanes and lounging shelves plus a splash park, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor gathering spaces and a covered terrace for outdoor events.
There is also the smaller and more intimate Westbridge Pool and park. There you'll find restrooms, a playground and ample shade from a large pergola. Just follow the trail along the creek to find it. It's located across the bridge on the west side of the neighborhood. The facility has a large park overlooking a natural creek, running the length of the green space. And don't forget your fishing pole for the stocked pond that's fed by the Graham Branch Creek on the eastern edge of that facility.
Of course, in the spirit of offering outdoor enjoyment to every member of the family, we can't forget the four-legged residents of Canyon Falls. You'll want to check out the Canyon Fall Hay Barn and Pooch Park. It sits near the entry to the neighborhood and serves as a gateway to the trail system.
Lifestyle events and programming are planned by the HOA which employs a lifestyle director. The residents-only Canyon Falls Clubhouse, with its scenic hillside views, is most often the location of these HOA activities. These lively events are well attended and often center around the active outdoor lifestyle neighborhood residents seem to enjoy. Some events are annual. Others act as a monthly series. All activities serve to unite the community.
