Life in North Richland Hills

Living in the third largest city in Tarrant County, North Richland Hills' 70,000 residents enjoy a central location between Dallas and Ft. Worth. The "new and improved" Highway 820 / 183 runs through the southern portion of the city while two TEXrail stops connect the city from DFW Airport Terminal B to Downtown Ft. Worth allowing homeowners convenient access to major employment centers.

North Richland Hills Spring Concert at City Hall
The new NRH City Hall is the location of the city's Sounds of Spring Concert Series each April and May.  The cultural arts are well represented in North Richland Hills through their public art program, pop up art gallery events and Poet's Corner program.

North Richland Hills has earned the praise of Metroplex publications as well as the citizens who call the city home. More recently the Dallas Morning News rated the city in the top 10 best areas in the Metroplex out of over 300. The publication considered safety, schools, commute time, and neighborhood appeal among other factors. The exact same criteria home buyers consider.

Perhaps the best recommendations for the city though come from its own residents. Nintey-six percent of North Richland Hills home owners rank quality of life as excellent or good. That same percentage said they'd recommend the city to a friend.

Meeting with the Mayor of North Richland Hills

ROUND THE TOWN

Informal monthly 10 mile bike rides and one mile walks through beautiful NRH neighborhoods and trails with Mayor Oscar Trevino. Open to all ages, these are a great opportunity to get outdoors and meet new people.

Up-Scale Business Discovering NRH

It used to be that North Richland Hills residents traveled to surrounding cities for higher end shopping. But that's not the case today. In the past, the triangle of Davis Boulevard, Precinct Line and North Tarrant Parkway was home to Walmart and Target. Now, there's an exciting energy around the area.

Businesses have flocked to the area over the last few years. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema recently opened their first locations in Tarrant County and there is a whole host of newer activity around the HomeTown Development south of Mid Cities Boulevard. Boulevard 26 boasts attractive shops and intriguing dining options.

Redevelopment and revitalization is now commonplace in North Richland Hills as the demand for growth has met with the high standards of area consumers.

Keeping Up With NRH Residents' Expectations

New development brings new home buyers to the city. And today's property seekers demand high lifestyle amenities. North Richland Hills delivers by welcoming future residents with revitalized city government offerings like a public library and recreation center. And there are more than 800 acres of parkland, 30 miles of hike and bike trails, the award winning Iron Horse Golf Course and NRH2O Family Water Park available for locals.

I wasn't too familiar with North Richland Hills when we first started looking at homes. I knew someone from work who lived here, but it wasn't until I went to her house to drop something off that I even thought about considering the city. When I saw her neighborhood I was surprised. The whole area was a lot different than I had in my mind of what North Richland Hills was like. We've loved the newer shopping and closeness to highways. We found a newer home, too, and we love our neighborhood.
