20 Years and Still Growing

Master Planned Community - The Villages of Woodland Springs

A sprawling 1300 acre master planned community, The of Villages of Woodland Springs has grown to around 4500 single family homes since its inception way back in 2000 when the first new homes were built north of Keller-Hicks along Park Vista Blvd.  The original tower entrance stands at that location. While technically in the city of Fort Worth, The Villages of Woodland Springs is often referred to as being located in Keller, even though the cities are generally divided by highway 377 / Main Street. That is likely because the Keller post office is the hub for mail in the area.

Homeowners north of Keller-Hicks from highway 377 heading west all the way to I-35 now call The Villages of Woodland Springs home.  It used to be safe to say the northern edge of the neighborhood stopped at Timberland Boulevard. But as the VOWS has continued to grow, the western half of the neighborhood reaches north toward Highway 170.

The area offers easy proximity to I-35, Highway 114 and 377 Denton Highway, so VOWS neighbors enjoy easy access to employment and all the shopping and dining the area has to offer. Kids from The Villages of Woodland Springs attend either the Keller ISD or the Northwest ISD, depending upon their location in the neighborhood.

Living The Villages of Woodland Springs Lifestyle

Location of pools in the Villages of Woodland Springs neighborhood

Residents of the Villages of Woodland Springs enjoy amenities including a community center, six pools, tennis and basketball courts and even picnic areas. Homeowners can take advantage of the miles of trails and bike paths, too.  Several of the trails wind and weave around the 14 ponds in the neighborhood.  Catch and release ponds are popular in the addition. It's not unusual to drive by one of the ponds and see folks out relaxing with a rod in the water, just waiting on a bite.

Soccer, sand volleyball, tennis, basketball, and roller hockey facilities are located in the neighborhood, too.

VOWS enjoys a strong owners association anchored by an on-site HOA office.  The association enhances the neighborhood in a variety of ways including maintaining the amenities.  Publishing newsletters and arranging an almost endless list of community events is perhaps how the HOA is most visible to residents. Resident involvement in the many committees required to run an active association is a great way to get to know neighbors.

Neighborhood wide holiday events such as Breakfast with Santa and Fourth of July water slides are just the beginning of the fun.  Recently VOWS hosted a Mom and Son Social which included lunch and crazy cool science experiments.  Daddy Daughter Dances, End of School Year Partys and even Goat Yoga have been found on the Villages of Woodland Springs events calendar.

Homebuyers' Get Preferred Schools in The Villages of Woodland Springs

One of the draws for area home buyers is the choice of schools that are zoned for the addition.  Buyers who find homes for sale in a small portion of the north western portion of VOWS will attend the Byron Nelson feeder pattern from Granger or Hughes Elementary through Tidwell Middle.  Those homeowners in the Northwest ISD zoning of Villages of Woodland Springs are located north of Timberland Blvd. Interestingly enough, some of these homes are actually closer to Keller ISD schools.

The majority of the Villages of Woodland Springs falls within Keller school zoning. Timber Creek High School is the final stop for VOWS kids who start at Caprock, Independence, or Woodland Spring Elementary before moving on to Trinity Springs Middle School

Available Housing Styles

The VOWS has a huge selection of home styles, price ranges and sizes owing to the fact that the neighborhood has been growing since 2000.  The sheer size of the addition means there's a home available that suits every buyer's wants and needs. The original portion of the neighborhood, located close to the tower entrance at Park Vista and Keller-Hicks offers homes many would say are the closest walking distance to pools, trails, and ponds.  Woodland Spring Elementary school is also located in that section of the neighborhood.

Home For Sale in the Neighborhood

Home sizes run the gamut from single story villa size of 1300-1400 square feet all the way to mini-mansion 5000 square feet range.  And because the age differences of the neighborhood sections are so varied, buyers can find lush, well established landscapes with large, mature trees in one area, and front yard plantings that still haven't put out their first bloom in another.

Rock and stone accented facades are popular throughout the Villages of Woodland Springs.  The vast majority of homes have high ceilings and open floorplans as well.
