The Villages of Park Glen
Park Glen can perhaps be considered the original master planned community in the North Fort Worth and Alliance area. Construction started in 1988 when Hillwood Development entered the area with this first of its kind community offering residents seven neighborhood parks, playgrounds, disk golf, soccer fields, basketball courts and acres of green space with trails. Park Glen won numerous awards for design and was the fastest growing neighborhood in Tarrant County and the entire Metroplex for many years.
The respected Hillwood Development Company has since gone on to create other well known North Fort Worth and Alliance area neighborhoods including the popular Heritage Addition and Saratoga master planned communities. Made up of thirteen different villages, Park Glen is roughly bordered on the east by Denton Highway/377, North Tarrant Parkway to the north, and N. Beach Street on the west. Homes for sale in Park Glen fall within the Birdville School District as well as the KISD.
There are 13 villages that make up the neighborhood. Park Glen's 3300 or so home owners have created a very active owners association. In addition to sponsoring annual holiday partys, neighborhood garage sales and even shredding events, the PGNA even offers scholarships to neighborhood students funded by their annual Turkey Trot 5K. Park Glen residents are within walking distance to the Arcadia Trail System that runs right through the middle of the neighborhood. The greenbelt offers seven different parks and includes soccer fields, basketball courts and even a disk golf course. -Cindy
