Flower Mound: A Picturesque Master Planned Community

Flower Mound is located in Denton County, just 22 miles northwest of downtown Dallas and only 10 miles north of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The city continues to be one of the faster growing cities in the DFW Metroplex, with new home neighborhoods still finding land for construction. But the growth has been well managed by the city's master plan outlining how the 46 square miles that make up Flower Mound are used.

Walking and jogging trails connecting neighborhoods to parks and amenities have been written into the land use plan. Still a picturesque area, the city retains pastures of grazing horses surrounded by residential neighborhoods. Money Magazine ranked Flower Mound the "Number One Place to Live in Texas", while BusinessWeek.com listed Flower Mound as one of the Top 25 Best Affordable U.S. Suburbs.

We moved to Flower Mound from another city in the metroplex, so we'd heard great things about the city from friends who already lived there. What prompted us to make the move was the schools. We've had two kids graduate from Flower Mound High School and can only say good things about our experience. We've loved living in Flower Mound, and can't imagine living anywhere else now.
