Part of the Eastern Cross Timbers

The Old Grove Neighborhood

Located between Westmont and Whittier Heights off Providence Road, the Old Grove neighborhood takes full advantage of its location in the Eastern Cross Timbers.  The term describes a strip of land runs from Kansas south into North Texas and forms part of the boundary between the more heavily forested eastern country and the Great Plains.  Areas of deep woods are preserved in and around Old Grove and surrounding neighborhoods.

A branch of Big Bear Creek runs along the west side of the neighborhood, near the Whittier Heights neighborhood.  An almost two mile pedestrian path, part of the Solidago Trail, circles Old Grove plus Westmont and Whittier Heights additions and Colleyville's McPherson Park.
