Newest District School
Walnut Grove Serves the CISD's Northwest Portion
The newest school to join Southlake Carroll ISD's powerhouse lineup, Walnut Grove Elementary School serves the northwestern portion of the district. The school is located on North White Chapel Boulevard not far from Bob Jones Park, so you would probably guess that the boundary includes neighborhoods along Highway 114 like Kirkwood Hollow, the newer addition of Carillon and the western portions of Estes Park.
But you may be surprised to find that the southern border of the elementary school boundary reaches all the way down to Southlake Boulevard and includes neighborhoods such as South Ridge Lakes, Foxborough, the newer construction of Shady Oaks, and the acreage lots of Cross Timber Hills to name a few.
Opened just in time for the 2011-2012 school year, Walnut Grove today serves about 625 Pre-K through 4th grade Dragons. State test rankings, community surveys and parent feedback have proven this newest elementary school is more than able to keep up with the district's expectations for high achievement. -Cindy
