What Home Buyers in Argyle ISD Can Expect

In January 2023 the district unveiled a new 10-year strategic growth plan to Argyle ISD home owners.  The plan will be reviewed by District administration, Board of Trustees, district demographers and financial advisors, and revised as needed.

This most recent projections call for a 2024/2025 bond election for a sixth elementary school. That elementary will join the 4th and 5th that were approved in a 2022 election and expected to open in 2024 and 2026 and accommodate the new home construction in the boundary.

The Argyle School District’s 10-year growth plan of January 2023 also calls for the addition of a 3rd middle school. There is a second middle school planned to open in 2025.

Argyle High School is home to around 1500 Eagles as of 2022-2023. The AISD growth plan calls for the opening of a new high school when current enrollment reaches 2700. That would create two 5A schools. The current high school is in the Canyon Falls neighborhood. The new high school will be located in a repurposed district-owned building on Highway 377.

In May, 2022 Argyle Independent School District voters approved an almost $268 Million bond package for the rapidly growing district. By all accounts, the district is on track to thrive in the high growth environment brought on by new home construction in the area.

Doubling in Size, Yet Still Small

New home construction has exploded in the Argyle School District in recent years. Large, master planned neighborhoods like Canyon Falls, and Harvest are bringing new students to the district.

The 2022 bond approval brings two new elementary schools to the district, for a total of 5 by 2026. Additionally, voters approved a new middle school for 2025. A new $27 million dollar stadium was also given the go-ahead for Argyle High School, located in the Canyon Falls neighborhood, as well as an Indoor Activity Center at the school.

These new facilities benefit the school as it transitions to Class 5A in 2022-2023.

There is no tax rate impact for Argyle ISD boundary homeowners created by the 2022 bond passage as Texas House Bill 3, and the tax compression to the Maintenance & Operations portion of the district's budget. reduced the tax rate.

AISD has formed strong connections with the community and parents, working together to enhance the learning experience of students. The Argyle Education Foundation, a group of business, community, and neighborhood volunteers work together to provide resources to enhance the learning environment in AISD schools.

A non-profit, The Argyle ISD Education Foundation was created to solicit, manage and distribute funds among the schools and grant teachers' requests of supplies and extra materials.

Each school's PTA and PTO work together at a high level, helping benefit teachers and students as well as promoting Argyle ISD within the community with their events and fundraisers.

We love Argyle schools. We researched a lot before we moved because schools were the most important factor for us. That's how we found Cindy online. She happily answered our questions and gave us even more to think about before we got to town to meet her. If you're thinking about relocating to the Argyle area, give Cindy a call. You'll love her, and the area!

Homes for Sale Within Argyle ISD Zoning

Everyone likes to rely on district ratings they find online when shopping for a home. But it's unwise to count on them to compare schools. The key to choosing the right school for your next home should really have less to do with a district's rating and more to do with the campuses he or she will attend.

I always encourage parents to visit the schools in an area they're considering for a home purchase. Take the time to take a look at the schools. Administrators are happy to meet with prospective home buyers. You'll get a better feel for a school's fit for your child by visiting than what you can read online or in a brochure.
